It never makes up how often something needs servicing. Every interval comes from the maker's manual, whoever services it, or your own records, and says which.
It never decides whether something is safe to use. If somebody reports a fault and says it might not be, you are told straight away.
Licensed and safety work, like gas, electrical, brakes or lifting gear, is recorded with who did it and when. It never explains how to do it.
